Postino wine bar and cafe files plans for second location ahead of first opening

The restaurant chain this week filed plans with the City of Atlanta to open in West Midtown at 1000 Marietta Street Unit 310 in the Brickworks development that is owned by the Charlotte-based company Asana Partners.

Construction is estimated at $800,000 redevelop the former tenant space that belonged to Earl’s Bike Shop and a “furnished” outdoor patio. Earl’s occupied the corner space for three years, according to its Facebook page, before moving across the street in late 2021.

“We’re thrilled to announce that starting this weekend we’ll be moving across the street,” Earl’s announced on Facebook in late 2021. “We’ve been hard at work designing and building (with the help from a designer or two and a few contractors) our new space to better match our business vision and what we want to offer our customers.

Postino, which according to its website currently operates 18 locations in three states, is “an industrial wine cafe featuring unique wines and simply delicious cuisine.” The city’s first location is set to open in Buckhead, but the timing is unclear. Co-CEO of Upward Projects Lauren Bailey Friday did not immediately respond to What Now Atlanta’s request for comment.

Upward Projects has five hospitality concepts in its repertoire: Joyride Taco House, Federal Pizza, Churn, Windsor and Postino.
