How did you come up with the name? We named it after the beautiful views of the Hudson River and Prime Steak.
Why start a business in this city? We live here and own another restaurant in Ardsley called Divino Cucina Italiana which is so popular – the same building owner had this space and we felt the town needed a “really amazing” steakhouse – we are buying our steaks at Hunts Point Market where the best steaks come from. We are a husband and wife team, Gino as owner and chef and Floria as host and back-of-house. It is our city, our passion and our goal to please our community.
In which field do you work? Hotel
What’s the toughest challenge you’ve faced as a business owner? Making sure the space is perfect, the food is beyond perfect – and letting the community know about the restaurant so they can try it.
What is the achievement you are most proud of since the opening? We opened at the start of the pandemic and even still had rave reviews and comments. We just want more people to come and enjoy the best steak in the world as well as a variety of other amazing original dishes.
How does your business give back to the community? We have been a collection center for donations; we have provided gift cards to various fundraisers. We’re so new that we haven’t opened in a year, and the pandemic hasn’t allowed us to do much, but we plan to fundraise onsite for various organizations close to our hearts.
Do you have anything else to say about your business? Yes, we take great pride in our fine steaks, our aging process for the steaks we prepare on site, hand-picked Wagyu straight from Japan, our other selections including fish, pastas and appetizers . With the weather also turning spring-like, we are happy to have a venue with an amazing view of the Hudson. Additionally, we have a private wine cellar with 2,500 wines and can also be a private dining area.
