H&H Brazilian Steakhouse carves downtown Beverly with grilled meats

The new Beverly Center restaurant has arrived, as H&H Brazilian Steakhouse takes over a prime location on the ground floor of the iconic La Cienega mall. Owner Henrique Huyer’s Brazilian churrascaria now carves beef, lamb, chicken and pork, as well as dinner cocktails every night, after quietly opening just a few weeks ago.

H&H Brazilian Steakhouse is meant to be an upscale take on more casual Brazilian meat restaurants – think Fogo de Chão, but at a different price point and with a very different energy. This location picks up the farm’s former gated address at 8500 Beverly Boulevard, Suite 113, which means lots of light, exposed beams and dark wood floors, plus a long stone bar, patio seating and many seats. The main dining room (nicknamed the primavera room) is airy and leafy, while other dining rooms offer smaller highlights like a fireplace and lounge seating or seating at the chef’s counter. There are even private catering options for wine cellar parties, weddings or more.

Huyer and his team kept the same menu at both locations, with the Beverly address mostly mimicking the original downtown along 7th Street. It’s a sprawling affair that takes a deep dive into grilled meat, focusing on grass-fed and organic (like chicken) as much as possible, while also offering cocktails, weekend brunch, happy hour , hearty wines and even a children’s menu. The star of the show at H&H Brazilian is the unlimited menu, which includes over a dozen different cuts of endless animal protein. The classic picanha is well represented here, as well as garlicky panty steaks, prime rib, filet mignon, and more. The standard AYCE menu, including an all-organic salad bar, costs $63.95 per person. Otherwise, there are a la carte options like an A5 Japanese wagyu, a simple burger, grilled salmon or sea bass, and sides of course.

The new H&H Brazilian Steakhouse is in good company at the Beverly Center, and not just because of the surrounding area that encompasses West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and the Beverly Grove area (where new spots like Melroseplace pop up all the time). Even right at the mall itself, there’s the famed Angler and the recently revamped ABSteak, an upscale Korean barbecue option from Michelin-starred chef Akira Back. Hours of operation for the La Cienega site are 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., with a 4 p.m. opening on Saturdays and Sundays. Happy hour and brunch will begin on June 19.
